“Mara is a rebel. That is what I love about her. She cannot help but following her own voice, her own talent, her own heart. In working with her she is giving you everything, her joy, her laughter, her strong impulses and sensitive perceptions.  She is not shy of artistic conflict, yet at the same time a generous collaborator, welcoming and encouraging of your own creative impulses.”

Dear friends,

I write to inform you that our new ensemble project Theatricale: a tragedy (formerly the Winter project) will premiere at the Lincoln Center Rubenstein Atrium (Broadway between 62nd and 63rd streets) onThursday, April 14 at 8:30pm. This performance is free and open to the public as part of the Target Free Thursdays series. Come early to get a good seat!

A second and more intimate performance will take place on Sunday, April 17 at 5pm in the beautiful black box space of the historic Living Theatre. Tickets are $15 when you buy early (before April 14) and $20 after that date. We recommend getting your tickets soon as this event could be sold out.

Theatricale brings Urban Research Theater's unique approach to physical and vocal performance creation to a new scale, with classical texts and a nine-person ensemble. We look forward to sharing this work with you and hope to see you at one or both locations in April!
